Installing the App
Get the Vitals app on your phone so you can log attendance and check what's already been entered — all before you leave the parking lot.
Picture this: It's 12:15pm on Sunday. Service just ended, you're shaking hands in the lobby, and the worship pastor asks, "Hey, how many did we have today?" Instead of scribbling on a bulletin and hoping you remember to enter it later, you pull out your phone, open Vitals, and log today's numbers in about 30 seconds. Done before you even get to your car.
That's what the Vitals mobile app is for. Here's how to get set up.
Step 1: Download Vitals
Vitals is free to download on both iPhone and Android. Search for "Vitals Church" in your app store, or tap one of these:

The app is completely free — there's no separate subscription for mobile. If you have a Vitals account, you already have access.
Step 2: Sign In
Here's the good news: there's no password. Sign in with the same email your church invited to Vitals, and the app emails you a 6-digit code. Or, if you're at your computer, scan the QR code from the Vitals dashboard.
- 1Open the Vitals app after it finishes installing
- 2Enter the email your church invited, then tap to get a code (or tap the QR option to scan the code on your dashboard)
- 3Type the 6-digit code from the email
- 4If you belong to more than one church, you can switch between them in Settings
- 5That's it — pick your campus and you're ready to enter this week's numbers
Pro tip: The app only signs in people your church has already added. If the code never arrives, ask your church admin to confirm your invitation, and check your spam folder.
What You Can Do in the App
The mobile app isn't a watered-down version of the website — it's built for the things you actually need to do on a Sunday morning or while you're away from your desk.
Enter Metrics
Tap in attendance, giving, and other weekly numbers right after service while they're still fresh in your mind. Most people finish in under a minute.
History
See the numbers already entered for your campus, so you can spot a missed service before the week closes out. Trends, dashboards, and reports live on the web at vitals.church.
Headcounts Without Check-In
Have an usher count the room, then type the number into that service. If you record headcounts in Planning Center Check-Ins, those sync automatically. Learn more
Troubleshooting
Most installs go smoothly, but here are the issues we hear about occasionally:
"I can't find it in the App Store"
Search for "Vitals Church" — not just "Vitals." There are a lot of health and fitness apps called Vitals, so adding "Church" helps you find the right one quickly. Look for our blue logo.
"My sign-in code didn't arrive or doesn't work"
Check your spam folder, and make sure you typed the same email your church invited. Codes expire, so if it's been a while, request a new one. You can also sign in by scanning the QR code from the Vitals dashboard on your computer.
"I signed in but I don't see my church's data"
If you belong to more than one church, switch to the right one under Settings → Organizations. If the Enter screen says there's nothing to enter, your admin may not have given you any metrics yet — reach out to them to confirm your access.
"The app won't install on my phone"
This usually means your phone's operating system needs an update. Vitals requires iOS 15+ or Android 8.0+. Go to your phone's Settings and check for software updates. If your phone is too old to update, you can always use vitals.church in your mobile browser — it works great on phones too.
